Pune: Autorickshaw Driver Booked For Stealing Gold Jewelry And Cash From Forgotten Bag, He Had Dropped Bag At Doorstep
Pune, 2nd May 2022: While alighting from the autorickshaw, a citizen forgot his bag which had clothes, gold ornaments, and cash in the auto-rickshaw. The citizen searched for the bag but was not able to find it.
Then one day, the same forgotten bag was found on the doorstep. The clothes were there in the bag but cash and gold jewellery worth Rs 97,000 were stolen. An FIR has been registered in this regard at Chandan Nagar Police Station.
The complainant was travelling in a rickshaw from Magarpatta to Chandannagar with his wife, daughter, and his mother. He forgot his bag in the rickshaw while alighting at Ekta Chowk. The bag contained clothes, Rs 17,000 cash, and jewellery worth Rs 80,000.
They searched for the bag but did not find it. The bag was found at the door of the complainant on April 27, 2022. It has been alleged that the rickshaw driver stole cash and jewellery and left the bag at the door of the complainant. Police are investigating further.
