Pune: Bibvewadi Police Finally Arrested Thief With 100 Cases Of Burglary

Pune, 21st September 2022: A thief from Sangli, who has more than 100 cases of burglary, was arrested by the Bibvewadi police. The investigation has revealed that the thief committed two crimes of burglary in Bibvewadi and valuables worth Rs 13 lakh have been seized from him.

The arrested person has been identified as Lokesh Raosaheb Sutar (28), a resident of Linganoor, Taluka Miraj, District Sangli. Reportedly, ten days ago in the Bibvewadi area, a theft was reported where a thief had broken the lock of the flat and stolen the valuables from the flat.

It was found in the CCTV footage that the thief escaped in a vehicle after the burglary. After that, the police seized the CCTV footage of 90 places on the Pune-Satara road, Bibvewadi area for investigation.

The investigation revealed that Lokesh Sutar, a thief from Sangli, had committed that crime. After that, a police team detained him from Sangli. 60 grams gold ornaments along with vehicles were seized from him.

The investigation team included Assistant Inspector Praveen Kalukhe and Abhishek Dhumal, Tanhaji Sagar, Satish More, Shivaji Yewle, Atul Mahangde, Pranav Gaikwad and Panchshila Gaikwad.
