Pune: Bike Rider Dies In Accident While Talking On Phone
Pimple Gurav, 21st December 2022: The rider of a speeding two-wheeler was killed while talking on the phone when a school bus hit him.
The incident was captured on CCTV and took place around 3 pm in front of the Kate Puram Badminton Hall near Pimple Gurav. The deceased has been identified as Shailesh Gajanan Jagtap (29), a resident of Pimple Gurav.
Shailesh was on the phone, conversing when he was riding his bike. He had the bike handle in his right hand and a cell phone in the other. At that time, he came under the wheel of the speeding school bus after losing control on a speed-breaker in front of the badminton hall. He died after suffering severe injuries.
According to the police, Shailesh’s life could have been saved if he had worn a helmet.
Last month, Niranjan Anil Hirve, a 17-year-old student, passed away at the same spot. A barricade in front of Kate Puram’s badminton hall has been requested by locals as a result.
