Pune, 8th January 2026: As part of the civic election campaign, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s official candidates from Pune Municipal Corporation Ward No. 20 (Shankar Maharaj Math–Bibwewadi) conducted an extensive door-to-door outreach programme in the Mahesh Society area, engaging directly with residents and listening to their concerns.

The BJP candidates — Rajendra Aba Shilimkar, Tanvi Prashant Divekar, Mansi Manoj Deshpande and Mahendra Manikchand Sundecha (Muttha) — visited households in the locality and interacted with citizens to understand civic issues and development-related expectations. Residents raised matters related to water supply, road conditions, cleanliness, healthcare services, as well as concerns of women, senior citizens and youth.

During the interactions, the candidates shared information about various development initiatives undertaken by the BJP-led governments at the Centre and in Maharashtra. Citizens, the candidates said, expressed satisfaction with development work carried out under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The candidates also conveyed the party’s commitment to ensuring transparent, efficient and inclusive development at the municipal level in the coming years.

The candidates appealed to residents to extend their support and blessings to all BJP nominees, stating that sustained development of the ward would be possible only with active public participation. They emphasised that people’s cooperation is essential for addressing local issues effectively and improving civic amenities.

Residents of Mahesh Society gave the candidates a warm reception and used the opportunity to voice their grievances directly. The candidates assured them that immediate steps would be taken wherever possible and that unresolved issues would be prioritised after the elections.

Party leaders said the door-to-door campaign has helped create a positive atmosphere in the ward and indicated growing support for the BJP in Ward No. 20 ahead of the civic polls.
