Pune: Bombay Sappers Witness August Gathering Of Alumni Of Satara Sainik School

Pune, 30th August 2022: Sainik School Satara is the first Sainik school in the country and has given many brave officers to the country. Pune chapter of the association arranged the Annual Alumni Meet on 27th August, Saturday evening. 350 Ajinkyans attended the Meet. Alumni from across batches, as senior as 1964 to recently passed, were present.

The Pune chapter of Sainik school Satara Alumni is an active organization. Various activities like tree plantation and career counselling are undertaken by this chapter for students of the school. They also formed a help group to offer assistance to needy people during the pandemic and distributed safety kits to the front line, covid warriors, as a gesture of gratitude towards the essential service providers.

The programme was commenced by offering condolences to the departed soul from Ajinkyan Fraternity. Pune chapter President Shashikant Dhanshetti welcomed the attendees on behalf of the Pune chapter. Later, veteran officer Maj Gen A T Mhaisale addressed the gathering.

Association President Girish Nehte shared his vision about development activities that shall be undertaken by incumbent authorities to strengthen the association. School principal Gp Captain Ghormade shared his view on the role of the association for the betterment of school cadets.

Alumni Col Bhaskar Bade, along with his team who took the initiative to arrange this get-together, expressed a vote of thanks for the overwhelming response to the appeal he made to attend the get-together. Col. Sangram Yadav and Col. Vikram Nalwade personally looked after the arrangements at the venue. Akshay Jadhav was the master of the ceremony.
