Pimpri, 19th February 2022: The stalled work of park at Bopkhel Survey No. 4, 5 has resumed after the Corona period and the municipal administration blacklisted the contractor. The park will be opened for residents soon after its completion, Deputy Mayor Hiranani Ghule said in a press release.

Deputy Mayor Hiranani Ghule said as soon as the work order was given, the work came to a halt due to the code of conduct for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Work began after the Code of Conduct was completed. About 30 to 40 percent of the park work was done. Meanwhile, action was taken against this contractor in a bogus FDR case. Municipal administration blacklisted the contractor. The administration had stopped work during the Corona period. The contractor’s blacklisting and corona hampered the park’s work again.

After the corona outbreak subsided, the administration resumed the work. The administration then launched a new tender process for the rest of the park’s work. With the approval of the Standing Committee of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), the lowest bidder was awarded the tender of Rs 1 crore 94 lakhs. He has also been given a work order and work is now underway.

She expressed confidence that the work on the park would be completed soon and the park would be open for use by the citizens of Bopkhel.
