Pune: Businessman Arrested In Domestic Violence Case Based On Wife’s Complaint Of Physical-Mental Harassment And Unnatural Abuse
Vimannangar, 15th December 2022: A case of domestic violence has been registered in the Vimannagar police station against a woman’s husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, who extorted Rs 62 lakh by physical and mental torture to get money from her maternal home to buy a flat and other items.
The husband is a businessman and was arrested by the airport police on Wednesday. The court has sent him to police custody for two days. His wife has filed a complaint in this matter. The incident happened in the Rohan Mithila Society in Vimannagar.
According to senior police inspector Vilas Sonde, the accused harassed her for getting flats and different items from her maternal home from time to time. The accused and his family gained her trust and took Rs 62,37,117 from the complainant woman. He also established unnatural physical relations with the woman against her will. It has been mentioned in the complaint that when she opposed him, he beat her up and threatened to kill her.
