Pune: Case Filed Against Talegaon School Head for Obstructing National Duty in Election Training

Talegaon Dabhade, 7th November 2024: A case has been registered against the headmistress of an English-medium school in Talegaon Dabhade for allegedly obstructing national work by refusing to comply with orders from Maval Assembly election officials regarding periodic training. This incident occurred between October 21 and October 31. Mandal officer Limbaraj Salgar (age 50, resident of Manjari Budruk) filed a complaint at the Talegaon Dabhade Police Station.
A case has been registered against the headmistress of the school under relevant sections of the Representation of the People Act of 1951.
The Election Returning Officer for the Maval Constituency, responsible for the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Elections, had issued orders to the headmistress of Mount St. Ann High School, a well-known English-medium school in Talegaon Dabhade, concerning mandatory training. However, the headmistress reportedly refused to accept these orders, leading to the registration of a case. Police Sub-Inspector Mulla is conducting the investigation.
