Pune: Cash And Jewellery Worth Rs 55 Lakh Stolen From Locked House In Phulgaon

Pune, 13th November 2022: Valuables including cash and gold worth Rs 55 lakh was stolen from a locked house at Phulgaon in Haveli taluka of Pune district. The Crime Branch Unit Six and Lonikand police station under Pune city police are investigating the incident.

 

Satish Shirish Raka (31), a resident of Phulgaon, filed a complaint in this regard. According to Lonikand Police, Raka has an old grocery store in Phulgaon. Between 3 PM on 10/11/2022 and 8 AM on 13/11/2022, Raka was out of the village when an unknown thief broke the lock and entered the house. A total of 48 grams of gold and 500 grams of silver ornaments worth Rs 4.68 lakh were stolen from the house besides cash.

 

Meanwhile, as soon as the incident was reported, a team of Crime Branch Unit 6, along with the Lonikand Police, immediately visited the spot and started the investigation. Dog squad and fingerprint experts were called and CCTV footage of the area is being checked.

 

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Yerwada Division) Kishore Jadhav, Lonikand Senior Police Inspector Gajanan Pawar, and Police Inspector (Crime) Maruti Patil also visited the spot and gave instructions for investigation. Assistant Police Inspector Gajanan Jadhav and Assistant Police Inspector S.Y. Rajguru is investigating further.
