Pune: Central Railway Extends Daund–Kalaburagi Unreserved Special Trains Till July 15
Pune, 28th February 2026: To manage additional passenger rush and meet growing travel demand, Central Railway has announced the extension of unreserved special train services running between Daund and Kalaburagi. The services will continue to operate with the existing timetable, route, composition, and stoppages.
According to railway officials, the five-days-a-week Daund–Kalaburagi unreserved special train (Train No. 01421) and its return service Kalaburagi–Daund (Train No. 01422), which were earlier notified up to February 28, 2026, have now been extended from March 1 to July 15, 2026. These trains will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, completing 98 trips each during the extended period.
In addition, the bi-weekly unreserved special services—Train No. 01425 from Daund to Kalaburagi and Train No. 01426 from Kalaburagi to Daund—have also been extended. These trains, which run on Thursdays and Sundays, will now operate from February 27 to July 15, 2026, completing 39 trips each.
Railway authorities clarified that all these services are fully unreserved special trains. Passengers can purchase tickets through the UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) mobile application or at station booking counters. Normal unreserved fare applicable to Superfast, Mail, or Express trains will be charged.
Passengers have been advised to check detailed train timings and halt information before commencing their journey through official railway enquiry platforms.
