Pune: Citizen Facilitation Centre Staff In Nigdi Arrested For Demanding Bribe For Issuing Caste Certificate
Nigdi, 2nd February 2023: The sleuths from the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) have arrested a staff of the citizen facilitation centre in Nigdi for allegedly taking bribes from a woman for issuing caste certificates for her two younger sisters.
Based on a complaint from the 24-year-old woman, the Pune unit of the ACB laid a trap at the citizen facilitation centre Nigdi under the office of Additional Tehsildar, Pimpri Chinchwad. The ACB officials caught data entry operator Shailesh Basutkar accepting a bribe of Rs 4,000.
An FIR has been registered against him at Nigdi police station (Pimpri Chinchwad police) for offences under the relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
