Pune: Citizens Now Can Get Preferred Numbers For Vehicles; See Details Below
Pune, 15th May 2023: Regional Transport Office (RTO) (Pune) is launching a new series for two-wheelers soon. The process of accepting applications and the auction procedure has been started to reserve the attractive registration numbers of this series for private four-wheelers on payment of three times the fee.
Four-wheeler owners who want preferred numbers of the newly launched two-wheeler series should apply in the prescribed format on 17th May from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm by making a payment of three times the prescribed fee.
In case of more than one application for the same number, the list will be published on the notice board of the office. Auction DDs will be accepted till 2.30 pm on 18th May. On the same day, the auction will be held at 4 pm in the cooperative hall.
Two-wheeler owners should apply on 18th May from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm if they want preferred numbers.
The application should be submitted in the Private Vehicle Registration Section of the office along with Dhanakarsh (DD), address proof, Aadhaar card, identity card, attested copy of PAN card along with mobile number linked to the Aadhaar card. This DD should be in favor of ‘RTO, Pune’ of a Nationalized Scheduled Bank at Pune.
It is informed that the registration number once reserved cannot be changed. If the vehicle is not presented for registration within 30 days from the date of reservation of the registration number, the reserved registration number will be automatically canceled and the fee will be credited to the government. The fee provided for reservation of any particular registration number is non-refundable. Applications should be submitted only by vehicle owners within the jurisdiction of RTO Pune, applications outside the jurisdiction (Pune) will be rejected.
