Pune city: 1177 new COVID cases, 1142 discharged today

Pune, Aug 14, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1142 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. Also, 1177 new patients were detected while 27 people died today. Today swab samples of 5673 people were collected for COVID tests.

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 71503 out of which 55,100 have been cured while 1683 have died. There are still 14720 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 750 critical patients out of which 467 are on ventilator support.

 

Across Maharashtra, 4,01442 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.39%. As of today, there are 1,51,555 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 70.09% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.39%. Currently, 10,32,105  people are in home quarantine and 37,386 people are in institutional quarantine. Out of 30,45,085 laboratory samples, 5,72,734 have been tested positive (18.8%) for COVID-19 until today.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 2,461,190 across the country. Out of this, 1,751,555 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 48,040 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 661,595 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
