Pune city: 595 fresh COVID patients found, 14 deaths reported today

Pune, June 26, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 331 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 595 new patients were detected while 14 patients died. Today swab samples of 3378 people were collected for COVID tests.

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 14,780 out of which 8633 have been cured while 572 have died. There are still 5575 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 330 critical patients out of which 67 are on ventilator support. Till now 104,055 people have been tested in Pune city.

 

Among the 14 deaths, six were women and eight men, all between the age group of 37 to 93 years. They were from Dandekar Pool, Lokmanya Nagar, Nana Peth (2), Gadital Hadapsar (2), Ambegaon Pathar, Parihar Chowk Aundh , Janta Vasahat, Hadapsar, NIBM Road, Kondhwa,  Sinhagad Road, and Ramtekdi Hadapsar.

 

Across Maharashtra, there were 5024 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 152,765. Also, 175 people died while 2362 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 65,829 active cases. Till now 79,815 COVID-19 patients have been cured. The recovery rate in the state is 52.25 %.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 490,401 across the country. Out of this, 285,636 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 15,301 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 189,463 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
