Pune City: 884 New COVID Cases, 37 Deaths Today

Pune, September 21, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1256 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. Also, 884 new patients were detected while 37 people died today. Today swab samples of 2697 people were collected for COVID tests.

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 132,665 out of which 112,172 have been cured while 3121 have died. There are still 17,372 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 952 critical patients out of which 492 are on ventilator support.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 5,487,580 across the country. Out of this, 4,396,399 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 87,882 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 1,003,299 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
