Pune city police wins 11 medals in shooting championship.

Six officers and constables from Pune city police have won 11 medals including six Gold in the 16th Maharashtra State Shooting Championship held from August 5 – 8 at the SRPF ground in Wanowrie, Pune.

Now all these persons have now been selected in the Maharashtra team for the 16th All India Police Rifle, Revolver/pistol, and Carbine Shooting Championship to be held in Assam later this year.

Police Inspector P D Patil from the Special Branch won bronze medal in rifle shooting, Traffic branch head constable Rajendra Mohan Patil won two gold in different pistol rounds, one gold in carbine round, and one bronze in another pistol round, Head Constable Sunil Balkrishan Pawar won two gold medals in rifle and carbine rounds, Police Naik Nitin Popatrao Shinde from police headquarters won silver medal in rifle round and bronze medal in carbine round, while Police Naik Parveen Mehboob Pathan of Pimpri police station won Gold medal in 300 meter rifle big bore three position.

Pune police commissioner K K Pathak felicitated them on Monday.
