Pune, 21st March 2026: In a move aimed at easing property tax payments ahead of the financial year-end, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced that all Citizen Facilitation Centres (CFCs) will remain operational even on weekly offs and public holidays until March 31, 2026.

The civic administration has taken this step to ensure that citizens can conveniently complete their property tax payments without facing last-minute rush and inconvenience. Typically, a surge in footfall is witnessed at the end of the financial year, prompting the administration to extend working days and hours.

CFCs, which function under various ward and contact offices across the city, have been set up to streamline services and provide easy access for taxpayers. According to PMC, all such centres will remain open daily until March 31 to facilitate smooth tax collection.

As per the schedule, the centres will operate from 9:45 am to 4:00 pm until March 29, 2026. On the final two days of the financial year—March 30 and 31—the working hours will be extended from 9:45 am to 8:00 pm to accommodate the expected rush.

The civic body has appealed to citizens who have not yet paid their property tax to do so within the stipulated deadline. Officials have cautioned that failure to comply may result in action as per rules by the tax assessment and collection department.

The announcement was made through an official letter issued by Deputy Commissioner and Head of Tax Assessment and Collection Ravi Pawar, who urged citizens to cooperate by clearing their dues on time.
