Three Arrested with Illegal Foreign Liquor Worth Rs 2 Lakh in Pimpri-Chinchwad

Pimpri, 21st March 2026: In a crackdown on illegal liquor trade, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police arrested three individuals and seized foreign liquor worth over Rs 2 lakh from the Dighi area.

The operation was carried out by the Crime Branch after receiving a tip-off about illegal sales. A team led by officers, including Santosh Kasbe and Sunil Jawale, conducted a raid near Dabhade Sarkar Chowk at a farm in Charholi.

During the raid, police found the accused allegedly storing and preparing to sell liquor from a shed. A total of 400 bottles of foreign liquor packed in 20 boxes and two sacks, were recovered. Three mobile phones were also seized. The total value of the confiscated items is estimated at ₹2,00,480.

The accused have been identified as Ramprasad Sahebrao Salunkhe (33), Tilak Hemant Patel (21), a resident of Vapi in Gujarat, and Anil Ramsurat Yadav (24).

Police said the action was taken under the guidance of Commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey as part of an ongoing drive against illegal activities in the area.

A case has been registered at Dighi Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
