Pune: Clerk Of MSEDCL Arrested In Case Of Rape Of Woman
Pune, 4th November 2022: Alankar police arrested a clerk in Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (MSEDCL) for raping a woman. A woman has filed a complaint at Alankar police station.
Sachin Raosaheb Nikam (53), a resident of Panchvati, Pashan Road has been arrested in this case.
Nikam and the complainant woman knew each other. The woman wanted to buy a flat. Taking this into consideration, Nikam lured the woman into a trap on the pretext of helping her in a flat purchase transaction. He then threatened her and raped her. He also sent obscene messages to the woman on her mobile and tried to defame her. When the complainant woman asked about the incidents, he then threatened to kill her.
Nikam was arrested after the woman lodged a complaint and the court ordered him to be kept in police custody for three days. Sub-Inspector of Police Sarla Dasgude is investigating the case further.
