Pune: COEP Technological University’s mechanical engineering institute renamed Bajaj School of Mechanical Engineering
Pune, 1st June 2023: Bajaj Finserv Group and COEP Technological University, Pune joined hands in a momentous event where the university’s mechanical engineering institute was officially renamed as the Bajaj School of Mechanical Engineering. The prestigious institution, known for its excellence in engineering education, received support from Bajaj Finserv as part of its social impact program.
The partnership between Bajaj Finserv and COEP Technological University has been focused on revitalizing the infrastructure of the mechanical engineering institute. The aim was to provide students with a state-of-the-art learning environment that fosters innovation and growth. The renovated structure was unveiled at a special ceremony, attended by esteemed individuals including Sanjiv Bajaj, Chairman & Managing Director of Bajaj Finserv, who himself is an alumnus of College of Engineering Pune.
During the event, Sanjiv Bajaj praised the students, alumni, and faculty members for their collaborative efforts in driving positive change and furthering the field of mechanical engineering. The renaming of the institute was seen as a testament to the successful partnership between Bajaj Finserv and COEP Technological University, highlighting their commitment to educational excellence.
In addition to the renaming, Bajaj Finserv took the opportunity to announce the launch of a new program called Bajaj Young Technical Engineers (BYTE) in collaboration with COEP Technological University. The BYTE program aims to identify and nurture exceptional engineering talent, providing them with unique opportunities for growth and development. This initiative reflects Bajaj Finserv’s commitment to empowering the next generation of engineers and promoting innovation in the field.
The event was graced by the presence of Shefali Bajaj, Chairperson of CSR Steering Committee at Bajaj Finserv, Kurush Irani, President of Group CSR at Bajaj Finserv, Ajay Sathe, Head Group CSR at Bajaj Finserv, Pratap Pawar, member of the Board of Governors at COEP Technological University, Prof. S. D. Agashe, Vice-Chancellor of COEP Technological University, and other distinguished guests.
