Pune to Host 4th Education Working Group Discussion as Part of G20 Education Initiatives

Pune, 1st June 2023: The Ministry of Education, guided by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is taking significant steps to encourage active participation and make it the central focus of India’s G20 Presidency.

 

With the theme of “Ensuring Foundation Literacy and Numeracy (FLN),” the Ministry of Education is organizing a series of activities and programs aimed at promoting and endorsing this important aspect, particularly in the context of blended learning.

 

In partnership with all states and union territories, the Ministry of Education is organizing Janbhagidari events across the country to create awareness and instill a sense of pride among various stakeholders, including students, teachers, parents, and the community as a whole, about G-20, the National Education Policy (NEP), and FLN. These events, including workshops, exhibitions, seminars, and conferences, have been planned from 1st to 15th June 2023. The events will be organized at various levels, from the state and district levels to block, panchayat, and school levels, to ensure the involvement of people from all walks of life.

 

The Janbhagidari events will lead up to the main event, the 4th Education Working Group (4th EdWG) discussion, scheduled to take place in Pune, Maharashtra, from 19th to 21st June 2023. The events will culminate with the Education Ministerial meeting on 22nd June 2023.

 

The schedule of events organized by the Ministry is as follows:

Janbhagidari events on awareness about G20, NEP, FLN in all schools: 1st to 15th June 2023.

Exhibition showcasing best practices in the field of school education, higher education, and skill education: 17th to 22nd June 2023 in Pune, Maharashtra.

2-day National Conference on Foundation Literacy and Numeracy: 17th and 18th June 2023.
