Pune, 1st July 2022: A flyover is under construction to reduce the traffic on Sinhagad Road. The construction work has resulted in the availability of only one and a half lane road from Hotel Brahma Veg to Manik Baug Petrol Pump. This part of the road has now become the narrowest part of Sinhagad Road.

Due to illegal parking and encroachment, only one lane of the road is available. This has become troubling for drivers and pedestrians.

Despite this, the Municipal Corporation and the Traffic Police have not taken any measures against this.

The length of the flyover towards Dhayari will be 2,120 meters, while the length of the bridge coming towards Swargate will be 1,540 meters. For double carriage, the width of the bridge will be 16.3 meters and 8.150 meters for single carriage. The administration has said that the required space has been set aside for the metro line in the future.
