Registration Begins For Indian Army Under Agnipath Scheme; Know How To Apply

New Delhi, 1st July 2022: Under the Agnipath scheme, the process of registration for Agniveers has started in the Indian Army. The candidates can apply online by visiting joinindianarmy.nic.in.
Agniveers will be recruited for the posts of General Duty, Technical, Clerk, Tradesman (10th), and Tradesman (8th).
In the second week of August, 80 rallies will be organized across the country for the recruitment of 25,000 Agniveers in the Indian Army in the first phase.
The successful candidates will appear in the written examination which will be held on 16 October. The training will start in December.
For General Duty (GD), the candidates should be 10th pass with 45% marks and must have at least 33% marks in each subject.
For Agniveer technical, candidates should be 12th pass with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.
For clerk posts, candidates should be 12th pass with 60% marks with 50% marks in English and Mathematics.
The candidates who are 10th and 8th pass will have separate recruitment for Agniveer Tradesman. They should have 33% marks in all the subjects.
The age limit for candidates in the above posts should be in between 17 to 23 years.
The candidates should keep in mind that the maximum age limit is 23 years only for this year. From the next year, the maximum age limit will be 21 years.
The candidates should follow the given steps for registration:
– Click on the Agnipath section. Click on Apply Online.
– If you are a new user, then click on registration and if you are already a registered user then log in by entering your username and password.
– Fill out the form according to the details given in the 10th certificate.
– Enter your phone number and e-mail ID.
– Once the registration is done, a one-time password (OTP) will be sent to your e-mail ID and mobile number.
– Log in using your user ID and password. Your e-mail id will be your username.
– After logging in, fill out the online application form
During the selection process, Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be conducted. This will be followed by physical measurements. There will be a medical test for this.
The successful candidates in the above steps will be called for the written test.
