Pune Court Sentences Accused To Six Months Imprisonment Within Three Days Of Crime

Hinjawadi, 29th January 2022: In a swift justice, a judicial magistrate court has sentenced a man to six months imprisonment within three days after a molestation case was reported to the police.
Judicial Magistrate (First Class) Shradha Dolare has also imposed a fine of Rs 9,000 on the convict Sameer Shrirang Jadhav (31), a resident of Sakhare Vasti, Hinjawadi. If he fails to pay the fine, then he will have to stay in jail for one more month.
A woman lodged a complaint with the Hinjawadi police station, Pimpri Chinchwad police, on January 25, alleging that a hotelier entered her residence and molested her after threatening to kill her.
Taking immediate notice of the incident, Sub-Inspector Ravindra Mudal registered the case for offences under sections 354, 452, 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Immediately after collecting sufficient evidence against the accused, he was arrested on January 27 at 9:30 am and produced before the court with a chargesheet.
DCP (Zone 2) Anand Bhoite said that the police investigation was completed in 36 hours while court proceedings were completed in another 36 hours. After hearing both sides and perusing the evidence, the convicted the accused.
Assistant Public Prosecutor Vijaysinh Jadhav expedited the proceedings and argued for maximum punishment for the accused.
The investigation was carried out under the guidance of ACP (Wakad division) Shrikant Disale, Senior Police Inspector Balkrishna Sawant, Inspector Deshmukh, woman Assistant Police Inspector Devtale, Investigating Officer PSI Ravindra Mudal, and police personnel Sachin Sanap, Shankar Falke.
