Pune: COVID Positivity Rate Drops To 5.5% In PMC Area

Pune, 4th June 2021: In the first wave of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Bhavani Peth ward office area which was a hotspot in the city, has remained safe in the second wave. Today (Friday) only one corona infected patient has been found there.

The highest number of 60 patients have been found under the Hadapsar ward office area.

In the first week of May, the city had a corona infection rate of 19.77 per cent. Now, in the first week of June, it has come down to 5.5 per cent.

Citizens are relieved that the second wave of the corona is receding. Over the past few days, the daily number of COVID19 cases has dropped to less than 500.

A total of 349 patients were found in the city today which included 13 in Shivajinagar ward office, 20 in Dhole Patil Road, 16 in Yerwada, 27 in Nagar Road, 14 in Wanwadi-Ramtekdi, 15 in Bibvewadi, 40 in Dhankawadi, 36 in Sinhagad Road, 27 in Warje-Karvenagar, 35 in Kothrud, 24 in Aundh, 14 in Kondhwa-Yewalewadi and 60 in Hadapsar.
