Pune: Cricket Match Played On Eve Of Annual Day Of Defence Accounts Department
Pune, 30th September 2022: The office of the PCDA (SC), located on No. 01 Finance Road, Pune, is celebrating the Annual Day (1st October 2022) of the Defence Accounts Department. The fortnight-long celebration commenced with re-opening the Sports Complex in the office premises and conducting a plethora of indoor and outdoor activities such as Carom, Chess, Table Tennis, and others. Sports events culminated with a Cricket Tournament on 30th September 2022.
The Cricket match was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr Rajeev Chavan, IDAS, NDC Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (SC), Pune. Several other Officers and Staff were also present on the occasion as the audience to cheer up the players. The ground was beaming with effervescent players.
The cricket match was played between Team-A captained by Sh. Omkar C Moghe, IDAS, DCDA and Team-B led by Sh. Alok Kumar Tiwari, IDAS, ACDA. Team B won the toss and elected to bat first. Playing first, Team B scored 120 runs at the cost of five wickets. The skipper of Team B, Alok Tiwari, played splendidly and scored 65 runs including massive five sixes and six fours. Team A chased this score and won the match by seven wickets. The top scorer from Team A was Deepak Shilamkar (score – 61).
The winning team and its players will be felicitated on the annual day which will be held on 1st October 2022.
