Pune : Crime Branch Busts Prostitution Racket at ‘9 Senses Spa’ in Wagholi, Rescues Five Women
Pune, 23rd May 2026: The Anti-Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) of the Pune City Crime Branch rescued five women from an alleged prostitution racket being operated from a spa centre in Wagholi and arrested one accused in connection with the case.
Acting on a tip-off received on May 22, the crime branch officials conducted a raid at “9 Senses Spa”, located at Shop No. 106, Rainbow Crosses Building, first floor, Bakori Phata, Wagholi in Haveli taluka of Pune district.
According to police, information was received that women were allegedly being forced into prostitution under the guise of spa and massage services at the establishment.
Under the guidance of Police Inspector Chhagan Kapse, officials first verified the information using a decoy customer before carrying out the raid. During the operation, five women were rescued from the spa premises.
Police arrested Mahavir Sudam Sasane (29), a resident of Sainath Nagar, Perne Phata, in connection with the case. Another accused has also been booked and further investigation is underway.
A case has been registered at Wagholi Police Station under under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.
