Pune: Day 2 of the 11th Gaanasaraswati Mahotsav
Pune, 8th February 2025: The 11th edition of Gaanasaraswati Mahotsav was held at Mahalaxmi Lawns, Karve Nagar,near Rajaram Bridge,Pune. This three day and four session music festival is held on February 7 to February 9, 2025 The festival is organized by Natyasampada Pratishthan with an intent to tribute Gaanasaraswati Padma Vidhushan Kishori Amonkar’s profound contribution in evolving Indian classical music
The evening began with a Hindustani Classical Vocal performance by classical vocalist, Kalapini Komkali. She performed various bandish in Raag- Multani; and compositions like “Dil bekarar hai, ga “; another composition: “shudh shaam” in Raag- Jog; and concluded her performance with a ‘Faag Geet’ : “narmada Rang se bhari holi khelega krishna murari”.
She was accompanied by Prashant Pandav on tabla, Suyog Kundalkar on Harmonium, Shree Nidhi Deshpande and Ashwini Purohit on Tanpura.
The second session started with the performance of the renowned Hindustani classical vocalist Vidushi Nandini Bedekar. She performed various bandish and compositions in Raag Yaman.
She was accompanied by Bharat Kamat on Tabla; Suyog Kundalkar on Harmonium and Swapna Nayar And Drushya Nayar on Tanpura.
