Pune Divisional Board Deploys Counsellors to Ease Exam Stress for SSC and HSC Students

Pune, 21st January 2026: To help students cope with academic pressure and emotional stress during the upcoming board examinations, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), Pune Division, has put in place a comprehensive counselling support system for Class 10 and Class 12 candidates appearing in the February–March 2026 exams.

The counselling services will remain operational throughout the examination period, offering professional guidance to students dealing with exam anxiety, academic concerns, or personal stress. As per officials, the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations will be conducted from February 10 to March 18, 2026, while the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations are scheduled between February 20 and March 18, 2026.

Speaking about the initiative, Dr Minakshi Raut, Secretary of the Pune Divisional Board, said that trained counsellors have been appointed across the Pune division to ensure students receive timely emotional and academic support. The initiative covers the districts of Pune, Ahilyanagar, and Solapur.

Students as well as parents can directly approach the designated counsellors between 8 am and 8 pm for assistance, ensuring accessibility beyond school hours.
