Pune: Dog Killed For Entering Housing Society, FIR Registered

Kondhwa, 7th July 2022: In a shocking incident, a dog was beaten and poisoned to death by four people. A complaint was lodged and a case has been filed against the four.

As per the police, Amir Khan (23) filed a complaint against the Atur Villa Vista society’s security supervisor and three other people. Khan claimed in his complaint that on July 5 at around 11 am, he heard a dog howling in pain. He quickly ran to the balcony where he observed some individuals hitting the helpless dog with sticks.

When he arrived, he was told that they were taking these actions to prevent the dog from entering society’s grounds. The people ignored Khan and his mother’s pleas for them to stop abusing the dog. They persisted in their cruel behaviour until the dog passed away from his wounds.

Amir and his mother recorded the heinous act and contacted the Animal Welfare Board of India. In a short time, an animal activist entered society and looked into the situation.

Sardar Patil, Senior Police Inspector of Kondhwa police station, said, “A case has been filed against four people and further investigation is underway.”
