Pune: PCMC Invites Applications From Meritorious Students From Backward Classes For Admission Into Government Hostels

Pimpri-Chinchwad, 7th July 2022: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has invited applications from meritorious students from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Vijabhaj, Other Backward Classes (OBC), Special Backward Classes, and those who are physically disabled, orphans, etc. for admission in government hostels under the Social Justice and Special Assistance Department of the Maharashtra State Government.

For admission, students should be studying in Class 11th, Diploma, or in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Moshi Authority area. For admission, with the application, a student has to attach the previous year’s mark list, caste certificate of the competent authority, father’s income certificate with the signature of the tehsildar, domicile certificate, as well as the bonafide certificate of the college, the student and father’s Aadhaar card, a true copy of the ration card, a guarantee letter of the school or college signed by the principal.

The government hostel has free accommodation and food facilities. The rates are fixed by the government for the books, and other educational materials and Rs 800 per month is deposited into the students’ savings account.

“Students from out of the station but studying in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and Moshi Authority area should come to the hostel to fill out the application form and register,” said Hostel Superintendent M D Waghmare.
