Pune: Double Victory for Army Public School Khadki at IUCAA Contests
Pune, 21st February 2026: National Science Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune. The event featured a variety of competitions, including a science quiz, a painting competition, and essay writing. More than 50 students from schools across Pune participated in the celebration.
Army Public School (APS), Khadki actively participated by sending a team of five students. Ayan Gantayat, Vidushee Joshi, and Amarth Mishra represented the school in the quiz competition. Geetika Chiity took part in the painting competition, while Laviska participated in the essay writing competition. The students were accompanied by their science teacher, Supriya Tiwari.
The school delivered an exceptional performance, securing First Position in both the Quiz Competition and Essay Writing. In recognition of their outstanding overall performance, the science teacher, along with the students, received the Best School Trophy and a telescope from the organisers.
The achievement brought immense pride to the school and reflected the students’ scientific excellence under dedicated guidance.
