Shivajinagar, 19th April 2024: Deepak Sakharam Kulkarni (DSK), embroiled in a case of defrauding depositors of crores of rupees, has been granted permission by a special court to visit his seized bungalow and office. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had seized these properties in connection with the case.

The bungalow, known as Saptshringi, located on Senapati Bapat Road, and the office of DS Kulkarni Developers Limited on JM Road were confiscated by the ED following legal proceedings against DSK.

DSK, in his plea before Special Judge M G Deshpande, highlighted the necessity to retrieve documents and electronic equipment housed within these premises. These materials are crucial for his defence against the charges levied against him. Consequently, the court granted him permission to access both locations for the retrieval of documents and equipment.

As per the court’s directives, DSK and his family are authorized to enter the premises and submit the required documents pertaining to the ongoing legal proceedings. All actions taken during this visitation, including the documentation and inventory of seized items, will be meticulously recorded through panchnama.

Moreover, both the Enforcement Directorate and DSK are permitted to conduct video recordings of the document retrieval process. However, following the completion of this activity, the bungalow and office are to be sealed once again.

The implementation of this court order commenced today, marking a significant development in the legal saga surrounding DSK and the alleged financial irregularities associated with him.

Both parties are expected to submit a detailed report on the execution of this order within 15 days, ensuring transparency and accountability in the process.
