Pune: Ex-Armymen Federation Demands Ban On Raza Academy

Pune, 3rd December 2021: The ex-servicemen’s association under the guidance of Green Thumb Environmental Protection Group head Lt Colonel Suresh Patil (retd) has demanded a ban on Raza Academy citing that under the garb of an educational organisation, it was allegedly engaged in rioting in Maharashtra post-Tripura violence.

Earlier, the Amar Jawan Statue was vandalised in Mumbai and women police personnel were manhandled during a protest by Raza Academy at Azad Maidan in 2012 stated a petition to the Chief Minister.

A press conference highlighted the alleged role of Raza Academy by the retired soldiers federation under the leadership of Lt Col Patil. At the press conference in Pune, Lt Colonel Patil, National Vice President of Sainik Federation, Shambhusena Chief Deepak Raje Shirke, Shambhusena State General Secretary and Sainik Federation Pune District President Babasaheb Jadhav along with many soldiers of the organization expressed their views. Col Patil said that Raza Akademy was behind the riots in the state.

Speaking on the occasion, National Vice President of Sainik Federation, Shambhusena Chief Deepak Raje Shirke said that the federation would not remain silent to the activities being done by Raza Academy which was dividing the society on communal lines and demanded strict action against the Mumbai based organisation.
