Pune: Ex-Soldier Shoots His Wife and Critically Injures Mother-In-Law
Shirur, 7th June 2022:: During an ongoing divorce proceeding, a man opened fire on his wife and mother-in-law outside Shirur Court today.
The ex-soldier has been identified as Deepak Pandurang Dhawale, a resident of Ambernath. His wife has been identified as Manjula Ranganath Zambare, a resident of Wadegavhan.
The incident took place on the premises of the Irrigation Office in Shirur taluka of Pune district. The accused is said to have served the army as a soldier.
The couple had filed for a divorce in court and it is learned that the accused husband opened fire on his wife and mother-in-law for the same reason which had led to divorce.
His wife died while mother-in-law is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Shirur. After being alerted of the incident, a police team reached the spot and shifted the injured woman to hospital.
Further investigation is going on.
