Pune: False Bomb Threat Near Bata Showroom in Kothrud Causes Brief Panic
Kothrud, 16th April 2024: Today, on the 16th of April, a hoax bomb threat rattled the area near the Bata Showroom at Shashrinagar, within the jurisdiction of Kothrud Police Station. DCP Sambhaji Kadam confirmed that a call reporting the threat was received around 9:20 a.m. Promptly responding to the situation, the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) arrived at the scene to conduct a thorough investigation.
After a meticulous search, the BDDS team discovered a bag near the location, which upon examination, was found to contain only clothes. No suspicious or harmful items were detected.
The incident caused a brief disruption and raised concerns among residents and businesses in the area. However, authorities swiftly confirmed that the threat was unfounded, providing reassurance to the public regarding the safety and security of the area surrounding the Bata Showroom in Kothrud.
