Pune: Fire Breaks Out At Perfect Engine Component Company, No Casualties Reported
Pune, 7th March 2023: A fire broke out at the Perfect Engine Component Company at Solapur road, Urali Kanchan, Sahajpur Phata, today at around 2.30 pm. No casualties were reported in the accident.
Perfect Engine Component Company produces pins that get used in blocks made for engines of two-wheeler and four-wheelers. The factory faced a lot of fire incidences earlier but the factory workers were successful to extinguish it without the support of the fire brigade.
While talking to PunekarNews.in, Vijay Mahajan of PMRDA, informed that the factory faced a lot of fire incidences before but today the fire started to spread fast: hence they called the fire brocade department.
“The team of six jawans and one vehicle reached the spot to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is said to be the oiling process in which the pin part used in the engine is heated at a certain temperature before adding it into the oil. It is said that the part must have fallen to cause the fire,” Mahajan added further.
