Pune: First Special Round Merit List Declared for Class XI Online Admissions
Pune, 24th July 2023: The first special round merit list for the 11th online admission process in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad areas has been announced, bringing relief to about 25,973 students who have secured admissions. There has been a reduction in the qualifying marks for this round.
Earlier, three regular rounds were conducted for the online admission process for class XI, followed by special rounds to accommodate more students. Out of 28,962 students who qualified for the first special round, 25,973 have secured admissions in colleges based on their first ten preference orders. Impressively, 19,682 students received admissions in their first-choice colleges. Additionally, 3,424 students were allotted colleges according to their second preference, and 1,217 students were allocated colleges based on their third preference.
Of the qualified students, 14,134 have opted for the science stream, 9,047 for commerce, and 2,154 for arts. In this special round, the highest qualifying marks for the Arts stream in the open group stand at 468, while for the Science stream, it is 464, with Fergusson College being the preferred choice for both branches. For the Commerce stream, Symbiosis College of Commerce holds the highest qualifying marks at 447.
Compared to the third round, the qualifying marks in the special round have shown a reduction, opening more opportunities for students seeking admissions in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad colleges.
