Pune: Five Arrested Following Violent Altercation Near Ganga Kingston Society In Mohammadwadi
Mohammadwadi, 9th May 2024: In response to the violent altercation that transpired outside Ganga Kingston Society in Mohammadwadi, NIBM road on May 7, five individuals have been apprehended under section 160 of the Indian Penal Code, informed Santosh Sonawane, Police Inspector at Kondhwa Police Station, Pune. Additionally, three motorcycles have been impounded as part of the ongoing investigation into the incident.
The altercation, captured on video and subsequently circulated widely on social media, depicts approximately twenty youths allegedly assaulting two individuals over a seemingly trivial matter.
According to reports, the altercation ensued after the two young men, who had arrived to enjoy coffee, inadvertently flashed their bike lights at a group of individuals present, inciting the confrontation.

Concerns have been raised by residents regarding the recurring presence of such antisocial elements, citing potential threats to the safety and well-being of women, children, and other community members.
