Pune Flood Alert: Khadakwasla Dam Discharge Will Be Raised to 39,138 Cusecs at 10 AM
Pune, 20th August 2025: Authorities on Wednesday morning increased the discharge of water from the Khadakwasla dam into the Mutha river basin.
According to the irrigation department, the release, which was earlier 35,310 cusecs, will be raised to 39,138 cusecs at 10 am. Officials cautioned that the volume of discharge may be further increased or reduced depending on rainfall and weather conditions in the catchment areas.
Mohan Bhadane, Sub-Divisional Engineer, Mutha Canal Irrigation Sub-Division, Swargate, Pune, issued the notice and appealed to citizens to stay updated on further announcements.
