Pune: Former ZP Education Officer Tukaram Supe Booked for Alleged Accumulation of Rs 3.5 Crore in Disproportionate Assets Through Corruption

Sangvi, 6th December 2023: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Pune unit has filed an FIR against Tukaram Supe (59), the former education officer for secondary schools, accusing him of accumulating assets worth Rs 3.5 Crore through corrupt means. The case has been officially registered at the Sangvi police station under the relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

This legal action stems from the seizures conducted in connection with another case of cheating and fraud registered at the Cyber police station. In that case, law enforcement recovered Rs 2.87 crore in cash and 1450 grams of gold valued at Rs 72 lakh.

According to ACB officials, Supe is believed to have acquired these assets through corrupt practices. Supe is the teachers recruitment (TET) scam.
