Pune: Four Arrested For Duping Youths On Pretext Of Giving Them Job In IT Companies

Pune 8th July 2023: The Pimpri Chinchwad Police have arrested four people for allegedly duping youngsters on pretext of giving them jobs in IT companies. The accused have duped around 60 to 70 candidates in the last few months.

According to police, the accused had formed fake IT companies and they were issuing fake appointment letters to the victims to dup them. The whole scam came to light after a 40-year-old person who was also duped by the accused approached police to lodge an FIR in the matter.

According to the complainant, the accused had published advertisements to lure the aspirants. The candidate who approach them after seeing the advertisement were asked to pay money and appointment letters of the fake companies namely E Pavellion and BENQ Software Systems Pvt Ltd were provided.

According to the complainant, the accused have duped aspirants of Rs 50 lakhs in the last few months. Four accused identifed as Maheshkumar Koli (32), Anudeep Chandrakant Pashupati (52), Kalpana Bakhal (30) and Shravan Eknath Shinde (32) have been booked under sections 519, 420, 406, 465, 467, 468 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Case has been registered at Bhosari Police Station and further investigation in the matter is underway.
