Pune Petrol Dealers Association Honors Police For Preventing Potential Dacoity At Petrol Pump
Pune, 8th July 2023: The Pune Petrol Dealers Association today felicitated the teams from Deccan Police Station and Shivajinagar Police Station for their outstanding work in thwarting a dacoity attempt at a petrol pump on J M Road, Shivajinagar.
The association, representing 850 members in the district, expressed their gratitude towards the police for their prompt response and urged the police to enhance security measures at petrol pumps, which have increasingly become soft targets.
The felicitation ceremony was held today and attended by the committee members of the Pune Petrol Dealers Association, including President Dhruv Ruparel, Vice Presidents Nitin Shah and Vijay Lande, Secretary Kalidas More, Treasurer Amar Renuse, and other committee members like Bhagyendra Chudasama and Keyur Shah. The event aimed to recognize the exceptional efforts made by the police officers and their respective teams.
Senior PI Vipin Hasabnis from the Deccan Police Station and his team, along with Arvind Mane from the Shivajinagar Police Station and his team, were acknowledged for their exemplary work in preventing a potential dacoity incident. Their swift action and efficient coordination ensured the safety of the petrol pump and its staff.
Expressing their gratitude, the Pune Petrol Dealers Association conveyed their heartfelt appreciation to the police officers for their alertness and dedication. The association emphasized the importance of increased vigilance and security measures at petrol pumps, considering the rise in such incidents targeting these establishments.
The President of the association, Dhruv Ruparel, stated, “We are extremely grateful to the Pune police for their timely intervention, which helped avert a significant incident. It is essential that we prioritize the safety of our petrol pump staff and customers. We request the honorable commissioners and SP to enhance security at these vulnerable locations to ensure the continued safety of everyone involved.”
