Pune: Four Players From Vengsarkar Cricket Academy In Pimpri-Chinchwad Selected For Ranji Trophy

Thergaon, 11th February 2022: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that the Ranji Trophy cricket tournament to be played in the country will start in the next two days. Players from all teams have been announced including the Maharashtra team.

Four players from Vengsarkar Cricket Academy in Kalewadi have been selected for the Maharashtra team.

Ruturaj Gaikwad has been given the captaincy of the Maharashtra team. Cricketers Pawan Shah, Vishal Gite, and Vicky Oswal, who trained at the same academy, have also been selected for the team.

Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil congratulated players saying that the players in the city are playing at the national level and it is a matter of pride for Pimpri-Chinchwad.

“Four players from Vengsarkar Academy have been selected for the Maharashtra team for the Ranji Trophy. This is a big moment for Pimpri-Chinchwad”, tweeted Rajesh Patil.
