Pune: Fraudster Demand Money Using PCMC Commissioner’s Phone Number, FIR Registered
Pimpri Chinchwad, 18th January 2022: Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Commissioner Rajesh Patil’s phone number is being used for demanding money and for chatting with the corporators and citizens on WhatsApp with his profile photo.
A complaint has been lodged with the cyber police regarding this incident. Commissioner Rajesh Patil has appealed to the citizens not to fall prey to any such person.
“If any request is made through a fake profile id from these numbers or any other number, contact the police and do not engage in any financial transaction”, said Patil. He has also appealed to all to take note that no such demand is being made by him.
Nilkanth Poman, head of the IT department of PMC, has lodged a complaint in this regard. The fraudster has sought financial help from the mobile number 7524891151 by chatting online with the corporator and other citizens through WhatsApp using a fake ID. The number 7977510080 (7977510080) is also being used for asking for financial help through WhatsApp.
