Aundh, 3rd November 2024: A gang of miscreants vandalized vehicles and attacked two individuals, including a woman, in PMC Colony, DP Road, in Aundh on Diwali night. The Chatushringi Police have registered a case against eight individuals in connection with the incident. During the attack, 10 two-wheelers and three rickshaws were damaged. A search is currently underway for the absconding suspects.

The altercation reportedly began over a minor dispute involving the complainant, Sahil Sanjay Pawar (20), a resident of Dr. Ambedkar Colony in Aundh. A complaint has been filed at Chatushringi Police Station against the accused, Omkar Narwade (20), Piyush (21), Nandan, Aryan Mere (20), and others, all of whom are also residents of the PMC Colony and Dr. Ambedkar Colony in Aundh.

According to the complaint, the group had a heated argument with Sahil over a trivial issue. The accused allegedly entered the municipal colony, verbally abused Sahil and his mother before physically assaulting her. In the ensuing chaos, Sunny Sonawane, who tried to intervene, was also stabbed by the accused.

The gang then went on a vandalism spree, damaging 10 two-wheelers and breaking the windows of three rickshaws parked in the colony, causing panic among residents. After creating a ruckus, the suspects fled the scene. The incident took place between 11 pm on 1st November to 1.30 am on 2nd November.

Police Sub-Inspector Patil is leading the investigation.
