Pune: Girl Dead In Bomb Blast, Two Children Injured Near Dighi

Dighi, 5th February 2022: A five-year-old girl died while two other children sustained injuries due to an explosion in small bombs used to scare wild animals. The incident took place around 1 pm in the Wadmukhwadi area of Pimpri Chinchwad.

According to police, the family members had gone out to sell milk when the incident took place. The children were playing when there was a blast in the small gunpowder bombs kept in the cattle shed.

“They thought it (bomb) was a ball and they were playing with it”, an officer said.

The girl died on the spot while other children have sustained injuries. They are admitted to a private hospital.
