Pune: Girl From Pimpri Chinchwad To Lead Under 19 Cricket Team Of Maharashtra
Pimpri Chinchwad 4th Oct 2023: A young cricketer from Kalewadi area of Pimpri Chinchwad Khushi Mulla has been appointed captain of the Maharashtra Cricket’s Under 19 team. Trained at Varroc Vengaskar Academy in Thergaon, Khushi represented Maharashtra in under 16, Under 19 and Under 23 teams in cricket. She also received guidance and training from former Indian Cricket Captain Dilip Vengaskar on several occasions at the academy.
Khushi’s coach Shadab Shaikh thanked the Pimpri Chichwad Municipal Corporation for providing better facilities for players including indoor hall to practice during rainy season. He also appreciated Khushi for her efforts and said that she will lead the country in International cricket one day.
Inspired by her brother who also represented Maharashtra in cricket Khushi thanked her coach and other members for providing her better training to prepare for big games. She was felicitated at the Municipal Corporation for selection as captain of the Under 19 Maharashtra Cricket team.
