Pune : Gold Chain Snatching Gang Arrested; Jewelery Along With A Vehicle Worth Rs 3 Lakh Seized

Chandannagar, 7th June 2022: Chandannagar police station officials have arrested three persons for snatching the gold chains. Jewellery worth Rs three lakh along with a motor vehicle was seized from them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Amar Chilu Kamble (27), a resident of Wadgaon Sheri, Vaibhav Maruti Shelar (32), a resident of Khamgaon, Junnar and Viraj Nivruti Navghire (26), a resident of North Solapur.
Chandannagar police were investigating the theft of the gold chain. At that time, policemen Amit Kamble and Subhash Awhad got information that three persons were coming from the vehicle with the intention of stealing.
Accordingly, the squad set a trap and arrested the three. They confessed to snatching the gold chain and police seized jewellery weighing 35 grams and a vehicle totally worth Rs 3 lakh.
The operation was carried out by Sub Inspector Dilip Palve, and Mahesh Nanekar, Shrikant Shende, Amit Kamble and Subhash Awhad under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police Rohidas Pawar, ACP Kishor Jadhav, Senior Inspector of Police Sunil Jadhav and Inspector of Police Ravindra Kadam.
