Pune: ‘Good Samaritan’ Leaves Accident Injured Man At PMC Gate, He Succumbs To Injuries

Pune, 18th July 2022: A pedestrian who was hit by a rickshaw and git injured instead of being admitted to the hospital was left at the gate of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). Due to the fear of getting arrested, the rickshaw driver left the elder and ran away. Due to the lack of medical treatment, a senior citizen has died.

 

The deceased has been identified as Vishnu Sahebrao Adhaav (52), a resident of Thergaon. A case has been registered against rickshaw driver Sachin Thigley, resident of old Sangvi. In this regard, Sub-Inspector Atul Kshirsagar has filed a complaint at Chatushringi police station.

 

According to the information given by the police, Vishnu was working as a gardener. On the afternoon of June 23, he was walking towards Pune from Baner to University Road. Reportedly, the rickshaw belonging to the suspected accused Thigley rammed on Vishnu from behind ahead of Bhimana Sri Chowk. He was seriously injured. Citizens gathered after seeing the accident.

 

The rickshaw driver said he was taking Adhaav to the hospital. Citizens also collected money for Adhaav’s treatment and gave it to the rickshaw driver Sachin. He needed immediate treatment. However, Sachin, due to the fear of getting arrested, left Vishnu at the door of the municipal corporation and ran away. Vishnu was unconscious at that time.

 

Meanwhile, one informed the Shivajinagar police about a person lying unconscious. Then the Shivajinagar police rushed to the spot. By then Vishnu had died.

 

While investigating the crime, the Shivajinagar police found out that the rickshaw driver left Vishnu at the door of the municipal corporation. After that, the matter was revealed. The police have registered a case against him.
